Positive Technologies at the 2nd Interindustry Forum for IS directors

The 2nd Interindustry Forum for IS directors http://www.infosecurity-forum.ru/index.shtml was held in Moscow by Infor-media Russia. Members of public institutions and directors of Russian IT and IS companies took part in this event. The Forum speakers were leading industry experts and authoritative professionals in the field of information security.Positive Technologies acted as an information partner of the Forum. Sergey Gordeychik, the Head of Consulting and Audit Department, Positive Technologies, made a speech within the section "Struggling against Information Leakages, Insiders, and Industrial Espionage under the Economic Crisis. Best Practices". In the presentation "All Auditors will be Imprisoned?! Legal Bearings of Information Security Consulting", Sergey raised the burning issue of legitimacy of penetration testing, security auditing, and other procedures of information protection.Sergey has commented upon the discussion started around this problem: "Recently, various legal aspects of penetration testing and information security auditing were widely discussed in the professional environment. As it often happens when "physicists" and "lyricists" clash, the discussion resulted in generation of absolutely opposite opinions, including urgent necessity to institute criminal proceedings against all auditors according to various articles of law. This presentation is an attempt to combine the opinions of professional lawyers and auditors and consider them in terms of Russian law and hands-on experience".
